Baroque Music with all the corrections

Harpsichord spinet Sackbuts viol and harp
Wind- flute, oboe bassoon recorder,
Baroque --> barocco --> bizarre
Overly exaggerated and ornamented
Signing is very opera like and opera appeared in this era of music
Every piece of music is different like an assortment of sweets
Tension and release, so it builds up and then it's resolved and it calms down abit
The music has dignity and is elegant and very elaborate
Mordents and grace notes.
1600-1750's
It involves- western and classical music
Composers;
(1643-1704) Marc Antoine carpentier
(1685-1750) johann Sebastian bach
(1659-1695) Henry Purcell
(1685-1759) George Friderick Handel
Ornamented- frilly, lots of twiddly things and additional notes, only to make the music more impressive.
Harpsichord- the strings are plucked in side the body, twangy sound, not hammers like a piano
Lots of string instruments. Cello. Viola. Violin.
Organ.
Flutes.
Trumpets. Horns.
Smaller groups of instruments - CHAMBER MUSIC - music for a small group as entertainment. LIVE

Birth of opera. (mixture of singing, instrumental music and drama- a play that is
Sung)
