Oratorio A large-scale musical work for orchestra and voices, typically a narrative on a religious theme, performed without the use of costumes, scenery, or action. Well-known examples include Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Messiah, and Haydn's The Creation. String quartet is mainly Chamber music and is: an ensemble of music consisting of second and first violins, violas and cellos.

Ground bass- musical example ->A repeated bass line. Repeated bass line, donsn't change at all through the music.

Linked to ground bass, the part that is played by a harpsichord, a piece of music that has a figured bass.
Figured bass:

Concerto Grosso: A musical composition for a group of solo instruments accompanied by an orchestra.
